Why Go Vegan?
For YOUR Health
The World Health Organization has classified processed meats as a cause of cancer. When you stop consuming these products you are also lowering your chance of diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease. When eating a balanced plant based diet, you are fueling your body with great sources of protein, fiber, minerals, antioxidants and more. This diet is the key to longevity, healthier skin and more energy. What better reason to go vegan other than your health?
For the People
Going vegan for the people means we are choosing a sustainable way to feed our human family. Livestock consume much more protein, water and calories than they produce. More food should be grown to feed the people rather than feeding the meat & dairy industry. An alarming amount of our rain forests are cut down for animal agriculture and crops that feed those animals. Meat focused diets are wasting resources that need to be conserved. When we begin to utilize our resources, we are not only feeding our people, but choosing to protect our environment.
For Mother Earth
The amount of mono-culture crops that are required to water and feed the animals not only have a horrible impact on the planet, but it also has a negative impact of deforestation, leads to habitat loss and species extinction. “In Brazil alone, the equivalent of 5.6 million acres of land is used to grow soya beans for animals in Europe.” The damage that is being done to Mother Earth in order to maintain the meat and dairy industry is horrifying.
For the Animals
The first reason why I went vegan was for the animals. When you go vegan, you take a stand against animal cruelty, rape, torture and slaughter. Just as no one would wish pain upon their pet, we should not turn our cheeks away from the animals who suffer. Going vegan for the animals is a true act of compassion and peace.
We will rise.
We will no longer disrespect our food. We will begin honoring our bodies and nourishing our spirits. We remember reciprocity as the original teaching.
Mother Earth is calling to us. Gratefulness is no longer enough. It’s time for ACTION over gratitude.
Stand strong with me. We will return to the land and connect to the truest part of our soul.
Our intrinsic nature is to follow the road to freedom and self liberation. The essence of our being belongs to the land. To truly fly free we must fight like warriors to understand that we are victims of a low vibrational society that push poison disguised as food on us. I believe we can come together as one tribe by nourishing our mind, body and soul. We will end animal suffering and set all spirits free.
